Cairo – Mubasher: Frankfurt-based KfW Development Bank is looking to raise EUR 30 million in loans to finance the establishment of small hydroelectric power plants in Egypt.

The funding will be used to generate electricity across seven locations in El Qanater El Khayreya and the Nile Delta, a source at the Egyptian electricity ministry told Alborsa News.

The anticipated plants will be built with up to 30-megawatt capacity and will include smaller plants with capacities ranging between 2 and 5 megawatts, the source added.
