Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) on Wednesday has announced plans to inaugurate 11 electricity projects in Southern regions during the second half of 2018 with more than SAR 1.23 billion in investments.

These investments aim to enhance the firm’s electricity services for subscribers across the Southern regions, according to a statement to the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul).

The projects will include the establishment of substations that in return boost the efficiency of the power plants, the Saudi utility noted.

The first project will begin operation in July, while the second will be inaugurated during August, in addition to starting the operation of Najran project on 25 October, the firm said.
