Mubasher: Compagnie Generale des Etablissements Michelin on Thursday announced that it was in talks to buy Canadian off-road tire maker Camso.

Michelin, the second largest tire manufacturer in the world, noted that it had discussed the issue with Camso's main shareholders to acquire its entire share capital, the French tire maker said in a statement.

According to the outcome of the discussions, a detailed communication will be made in due time. In case of successful discussions, the agreement would be submitted to the proper authorities, the Clermont-Ferrand-based company added.
