Mubasher: Gold prices declined on Friday to its lowest level in a year, registering weekly losses of around 1%, as the dollar continued its positive performance against major currencies.

Gold futures for August delivery fell 0.4% to the level of $1,241.2 per ounce, its lowest level since 27 July 2017.

Spot gold also declined by 0.5% to 1,241.20 per ounce near the close of the week’s last session.
