Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) genial index gained 50.89 points, or 1.08%, to close at 4,747.09 points on Monday, encouraged by the telecommunication and banks sectors.

The telecommunication sector and its only stock, Etisalat, added 1.75% each, while the banks sector rose 1.4%, as First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) went up 1.98%.

The ADX’s trading volume reached 22.75 million shares, while the market’s liquidity amounted to AED 98.62 million.

On the flip side, the energy sector shed 1.39%, as Taqa lost 2.44% and Dana Gas declined 1.87%.

The industrial sector sank 2.39% after Julphar dropped 6.52%.
