Dubai - Mubasher: The Dubai Land Department (DLD) has stated that the real estate brokerage commissions reached AED 571 million in the first six months of 2018, while the number of active brokers hit 5,181 working in 2,113 offices.

Meanwhile, transactions carried out by brokers and real estate offices in H1-18 registered 2,978, generating AED 571 million, according to a report released by the Department of Real Estate Studies and Research.

“We appreciate the essential role played by authorised and licensed real estate brokers, and we encourage customers to choose brokers who hold ‘real estate broker’ identification cards,” deputy executive director of Real Estate Regulatory Agency Yousuf Al Hashimi commented.

The DLD is keen on the development of regulations and legislation that guarantee the rights of customers and brokers, along with the organisation of training courses to further enhance their skills.

“In addition, certified brokers contribute to support the vision of DLD by enhancing the process of real estate transactions in the Emirate,” Al Hashimi said.
