Cairo – Mubasher: The consolidated financial indicator of Egyptian Company for International Tourism Projects (Americana) showed that the firm turned a profit in the first half of 2018, as compared to the year-ago period.

Americana generated a profit of EGP 26.7 million during the six-month period ended June, against incurring a loss of EGP 24.2 million in H1-17, according to a statement to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) on Thursday.

The firm’s consolidated revenues amounted to EGP 1.6 billion in H1-18, up from EGP 1.5 billion in the same period a year earlier.

Meanwhile, standalone profits stood at EGP 59 million during H1-18, against losses of EGP 890 million during the corresponding period in 2017.

Americana previously posted EGP 33.7 million in consolidated profits during the three-month period ended March, against incurring a loss of EGP 1.09 million in Q1-17.
