Banks boost ADX Thursday
The banks sector grew 0.91%

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) general index added 15.08 points, or 0.32%, to close at 4,770.09 points on Thursday, pushed up by the banks sector.

The ADX’s trading volume reached 23.29 million shares, while the market’s liquidity amounted to AED 78.02 million.

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) led the ADX in terms of trading value, with a turnover of AED 28.9 million, while Aldar Properties topped the market on the basis of volume, with 3.8 million traded shares.

The banks sector grew 0.91%, as FAB rose 1.54% and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) gained 0.26%.

On the flip side, the telecommunication sector and its only stock, Etisalat, shed 0.58% each.

The energy sector went down 0.53% after Dana Gas decreased by 0.94%, while the real estate sector lost 0.15%, as Eshraq Properties sank 1.59%.

The investment sector fell 2.02% and Waha Capital declined 2.23%.
