Mubasher: Gold prices fell on Thursday, but were able to narrow its losses after the remarks by the US president criticized the Federal Reserve leading to a decline for the dollar against major currency.

Donald Trump publicly expressed his dissatisfaction with the Fed’s policy of raising interest rates, saying that it could hamper growth.

The yellow metal futures ended Thursday’s trade at the level of $1,224 per ounce, decreasing by 0.3%, after reaching a low of $1,212.30 earlier in the session.
