Cairo - Mubasher: Uber has launched the first car leasing programme in Egypt in partnership with Nacita Auto Care, making it the first of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

The programme is also being carried out in cooperation with the Egyptian ministry of investment with a financing of EGP 45 million being presented by the Saudi Development Fund, with the aim to provide more job opportunities, and higher wages, as well as facilitating leasing procedures, according to the company’s statement.

Uber expects to deliver 20 cars by the end of August 2018, while the regional manager for vehicle solutions Nadeem Nagy noted that the programme allows an opportunity for car ownership, with a 5% interest rate, and an option to own the cat within 36 months, after paying the remaining 30% of the car’s value.
