Riyadh - Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) declined this week on the back of the losses achieved by major market sectors and blue chip stocks.

The Tadawul All Shares Index (TASI) went down by 0.94%, or 77.4 points, and ended the week at the level 8,176.2 points.

The market capital decreased by SAR 24.12 billion, reaching a total SAR 1.939 trillion by the end of the week.

Total turnovers amounted to SAR 21.6 billion.

Average traded values increased by 17.64% to SAR 4.3 billion, compared to the previous week, and average volumes grew by 10.7% to reach 151.9 million shares.

As for the market sectors’ performance, 12 indices ended the week in red, led by utilities, and consumer services, dropping 4.9% and 3.9%, respectively.

The big three, namely banks, materials, and telecom, all registered weekly losses, decreasing by 1.2%, 0.8%, and 0.01%, respectively.

On the other hand, only eight market sectors ended the week’s trade in the green zone, with retail and insurance adding 4.7% and 1.6%, respectively.
