Qatar’s non-oil exports surge 34% in H1-18
Qatari non-oil exports amounted to QAR 11.5 billion in H1-18

Mubasher: Qatar’s non-oil exports jumped 33.7% during the first half of 2018, according to Qatar Chamber’s monthly report on Sunday.

Qatari non-oil exports amounted to QAR 11.5 billion ($3.15 billion) in H1-18, compared to QAR 8.6 billion ($2.4 billion) in H1-17.

As for June, Qatar’s total exports hiked 108% year-on-year to QAR 1.65 billion, versus QAR 794 million in the same period of the prior year, data showed.

Exports of the world’s biggest liquefied natural gas (LNG) exporter were destined for around 56 countries during June, compared to 58 countries in May.

Oman remained the key GCC markets for the Qatari exports in June, followed by Netherlands, Turkey, Germany, Hong Kong, Singapore, and the US.
