Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Monday’s trading session on a negative note, dragged by the drop of six sectors.
By 10:13 am Qatar time, the general index went down 0.46% to 9,590.93 points, falling 44.1 points.
Turnover amounted to QAR 22.81 million after 560,100 shares were exchanged through 485 transactions.
The insurance sector topped the QSE’s losers falling 1.2%, followed by the real estate sector, which declined 1.19%.
Meanwhile, the transportation sector was the bourse’s only gainer adding 0.26%.
The heavyweight Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) stock, which retreated 0.16%, led the QSE in terms of liquidity with QAR 5.31 million, while Ezdan Holding Group’s stock, which fell 1.9%, spearheaded the market in terms of trading volume with 90,800 shares.
