QSE falls 78 pts at Monday’s close
The banking sector topped the QSE’s decliners falling 1.5%.

Mubasher: The Qatar stock exchange (QSE) ended Monday’s trading session in negative territory, dragged down by the fall of five sectors.

The general index levelled down 78.4 points, or 0.81%, to 9,556.64 points.

The bourse’s liquidity increased 17.5% to QAR 160 million on Monday from QAR 136.14 million on Sunday, while the trading volume went up 13.7% to 4.9 million shares against 4.3 million in the previous session.

The banking sector topped the QSE’s decliners falling 1.5%.

Meanwhile, the goods and telecommunication sectors rose 0.07% and 0.06%, respectively.

By the end of the session, Masraf Al Rayan’s stock, which advanced 0.16%, led the QSE in terms of liquidity with QAR 33.33 million, while Vodafone Qatar’s stock, which retreated 1.85$, headed the market in terms of trading volume with 807,280 shares.
