Mubasher: The financial statements of the 45 companies listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) showed a profit increase of 5% year-on-year in the first half of 2018, according to the bourse’s statement released on Tuesday.

Profits amounted to QAR 21 billion ($5.77 billion) in H1-18, compared to QAR 20 billion ($5.49 billion) in the same half a year earlier.

The 45 companies are distributed over seven sectors, comprising the banking, industrial, real estate, transportation, goods, insurance and telecommunication sectors.

It is worth noting that Wednesday, 15 August, is a deadline of disclosures for the six-month period ended 30 June.
