Mubasher: German Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Tuesday that any agreement between the United Kingdom and the European Union should be flexible in a way that allows for future changes and modifications.

“Hopefully it will not come to an unregulated Brexit, but rather to a reasonable, negotiated agreement,” Merkel was quoted by Reuters.

“The exit agreement cannot be static. If Britain wants to benefit (from the EU in the future) it must commit to re-accepting EU rules,” she added.

A rising risk of a no-deal or a hard Brexit has increased recently prompting fears of a negative implications for the European and the British markets.
