QSE loses 46 pts at Wednesday’s close
The real estate sector topped the QSE’s losers falling 3.88%

Mubasher: The Qatar stock exchange (QSE) ended Wednesday's trading session in negative territory, dragged down by the fall of five sectors.

The general index went down 46.37 points, or 0.48%, to finish at 9,592.23 points.

The bourse’s liquidity decreased to QAR 100.68 million on Wednesday from QAR 130.59 million on Tuesday, while the trading volume declined to 3.59 million shares against 4.46 million in the previous session.

The real estate sector topped the QSE’s losers falling 3.88% as Ezdan Holding Group fell 6.45%.

Similarly, the banking sector decreased by 0.51%, pulled down by Masraf Al Rayan’s 2.01% drop.

The industrial sector inched down 0.21% as Qatari Investors Group plunged 1.52%.

On the other hand, the insurance sector headed the bourse’s risers adding 0.18, followed by the transportation sector with 0.16%.

By the end of the session, the heavyweight Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) stock led the QSE in terms of liquidity with QAR 28.6 million, while Mazaya Qatar Real Estate’s stock, which retreated 1.12%, led the market in terms of trading volume with 883,450 shares.
