TASI drops 28 pts, Nomu inches up at Wednesday’s close
The energy sector levelled down 1.67%

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Wednesday's trading session in the red, after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) plunged 27.5 points, or 0.35%, to 7,865.68 points.

TASI’s traded volume stood at 90.88 million shares on Wednesday, down from 126.79 million shares on Tuesday, while trading value decreased to SAR 2.4 billion ($643.2 million), from SAR 3.25 billion ($866.4 million).

The energy sector levelled down 1.67%, followed by the food and beverages sector with 1.38%. While the telecommunication services, banking, and materials sectors dipped 1.07%, 0.55%, and 0.03%, respectively. 

On the other hand, the transportation sector went up 2.68%, while the utilities sector increased by 1.99%.

The National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia’s (Bahri) stock was the bourse’s worst performer after dropping 3.78%, whereas the stock of Alinma Tokio Marine Co was the best performer due to growing 6.84%.

Alinma Bank’s stock, down 0.91%, was the most active after 20.8 million shares were exchanged, generating SAR 455.94 million liquidity.

In the meantime, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, gained 1.87 points, or 0.07%, to finish at 2,586.62 points.

Al-Omran Industrial Trading’s stock topped risers with 5.03%, whereas the stock of Al-Samaani Factory for Metal Industries fell 1.81%.
