Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt's unemployment rate fell to 9.9% in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2017/2018, Egyptian planning minister Hala El Said revealed.
The North African country’s economic growth rose to 5.4% in the same quarter, the minister added in a statement on Thursday.
The number of employees increased by 2% to around 474,000 workers, El Said indicated.
She noted that unemployment among men tumbled to 6.7% from 8.22%, while joblessness among women dropped to 21.2%from 24.7%.
