Saudi imports fall 3% in H1
The kingdom’s imports amounted to SAR 244.52 billion ($65.2 billion) during H1-18

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia has reduced its merchandise imports by SAR 7.91 billion ($2.1 billion), or 3.1%, during the first half of 2018.

The kingdom’s imports amounted to SAR 244.52 billion ($65.2 billion) during the six-month period ended June, compared to SAR 252.43 billion ($67.31 billion) during H1-17, Mubasher reported, General Authority for Statistics’ (GASTAT) data.

The oil-rich nation trimmed imports of machinery, devices, and electrical equipment by 10.8% to SAR 52.71 billion ($14.06 billion) by the end of H1-18.
