Mubasher: Gold prices decreased on Thursday for the third session in a row, registering its lowest level in a week.

A strong performance by the US dollar, as well as expectations of more interest hikes by the Federal Reserve are driving the precious metal prices down.

Gold futures for December delivery went down by 0.5% to settle at the level of $1,205 per ounce, its lowest close since 23 August.
