Riyadh - Mubasher: Foreign remittances by expats working in Saudi Arabia rose by 7.3% year-on-year in July, according to the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA).

The data of SAMA’s monthly bulletin showed on Wednesday that remittances reached SAR 12.2 billion last month, compared with SAR 11.3 billion in July 2017.

Remittances also increased by 14.8% compared with the previous month, as it recorded SAR 10.2 billion in June.

Meanwhile, Saudi remittances declined by around 32% to SAR 4.5 billion, down from SAR 6.7 billion for the same month of last year.
