Mubasher: Provisional estimates suggested that US retailers saw a growth in their monthly sales in August, official data showed on Friday.
Retail and food services sales totalled $509 billion in August, rising 0.1% from the previous month, with an annual gain of 6.6%, the US Census Bureau reported.
The sales rise between June and July was revised upwardly to 0.7% from the initial reading of 0.5%.
Moreover, the overall US retail sales between June and August rose 6.5% year-on-year.
