Riyadh – Mubasher: Warfaat Hospitality Ltd, the subsidiary of Jabal Omar Development, has signed a long-term franchise agreement with Indonesia-based Archipelago International to start joint investment in Saudi Arabia.

Under the contract, Archipelago International will grant Jabal Omar’s unit development and branding rights for three hotel brands namely, Grand Aston, Aston, and Harper in the whole kingdom, according to a statement on Tuesday.

The first hotel to be built in the GCC nation is the five-star Jabal Omar Grand Aston that will include 560 rooms and is expected to be completed during July 2019.

Located near to the Grand Mosque, Jabal Omar Grand Aston will be Archipelago’s first investment in the oil-rich nation.

“Our hotel brands are the most widely recognized in Indonesia, which is the largest source market for pilgrims to Makkah and Madinah,” CEO and President of Archipelago International John Flood said.

Warfaat Hospitality Ltd is a 90% subsidiary of Jabal Omar Development, while Archipelago International is the largest hotels firm in Indonesia.

“We are committed to offering our guests from Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei and S.E Asia superior hospitality experiences that are customized to their specific needs whilst they visit the Great Mosque of Makkah, Masjid Al Haram and the holy capital,” Warfaat’s President and CEO Yasser Faisal Al-Sharif stated.
