Pakistan’s PM offers Saudi Arabia to be CPEC partner
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan made a proposal to Saudi Arabia to join CPEC

Riyadh – Mubasher: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan made a proposal to Saudi Arabia to become part of the multi-billion-dollar China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.

In his first foreign visit as a PM to Saudi Arabia, Khan affirmed the importance of this project, noting that it is a kind of success for the project in terms of increasing its stakeholders.

“Pakistan has asked Saudi Arabia primarily to establish an ‘oil city’ in Balochistan, preferably in the port city of Gwadar,” the Express Tribune said.

In case of accepting the proposal, the oil-rich kingdom will become "a game changer" for the region as it is oil-deficient with the energy needs growing rapidly.

One of the main objectives beyond establishing the CPEC is to supply oil and gas from the Middle East and the Persian Gulf to its western regions, particularly Xinjiang.
