MENA enterprise software market to raise $760m in 2018
Digital consultancies are essential to break through the digital transformation impasse

Mubasher: The Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region is witnessing a record-high creative application software, with the International Data Corporation (IDC) expecting it to stand at $760 million in 2018, according to a recent report.

Cloud-based software is helping various organisations to become more agile, efficient, and productive.

For the MENA region, digital consultancies are essential to break through the digital transformation impasse, which is seeing the paradox of record-high IT spend, yet 60% of organisations will need to transform their digital toolset to succeed.

“However, pouring money into software spend alone does not enable digital transformation. While 60% of organisations worldwide will implement a digital transformation strategy by 2020, according to a joint survey by IDC and Veritas, 60% of organisations are concerned about gaps in their toolset,” the statement noted.

These gaps can include successful cloud migrations, reliably and quickly recovering from outages and disasters, and successfully tracking and managing service level agreements.

“As most Middle East organisations need to enhance their digital toolset, specialised channel partners are key for implementing information management strategies and training customers. Organisations should use have the best in-house capabilities to manage their IT effectively, especially in prioritising data validity, classification, retention, and analytics for new levels of business insights,” Savitha Bhaskar COO at Condo Protego, the UAE-based IT infrastructure and information management consultancy and solutions provider, commented.
