Dubai – Mubasher: DXB Entertainments on Wednesday said that visitors to Dubai Parks and Resorts rose by 33% year-on-year during the first nine months of 2018 to over 1.96 million.

The increased visits to the region’s largest integrated theme park destination in the nine-month period ended September follow a solid growth in visits for the past three quarters, according to a press release.

Dubai Parks and Resorts attracted more than 501,000 visitors in the third quarter of this year, compared to 479,000 in the corresponding period of 2017.

Visits increased remarkably in August on the back of the Eid holidays, it slowed down in September as the new school year started, DXB highlighted.

Moreover, the Lapita Hotel average occupancy jumped to 59% in the January-September period of 2018, versus the 30% occupancy reported in the same period a year earlier.

It is worth noting that MOTIONGATE Dubai was named the best theme park in the UAE during the quarter, while the LEGOLAND Water Park was awarded the best water park in the country at the Time Out Kids Awards 2018.
