Mubasher: Training Calendar, a startup from Black Cube Solutions FZCO, has announced receiving $1.1 million in seed funding.
The UAE-based startup, which specialises in learning, training, and performance, offers users training and the ability to recognise their skillsets and skill gaps, and how to connect the two aspects for the job scene.
The majority of the investments came from leading angel investors in the UAE, particularly from Abu Dhabi, the company said, noting that other venture capitalists were also looking to talks with Training Calendar’s management for potential investments as part of a Series A round.
“[Training Calendar] provides personalised and cost-effective learning to upskill and re-skill,” it explained in a statement, highlighting that its main focus would solve “the world’s biggest challenge related to learning and performance.”
The startup connects training providers, e-learning providers, and executive education providers with the users directly.
“There are 75,000 courses listed by the e-learning providers (including EdX, Coursera, Udemy, Alison, etc) and 6500+ classroom training courses listed by more than 1000+ training providers (like Informa, Dale Carnegie, PWC Academy, Bradfield, etc. across UAE, India and Saudi Arabia),” the firm said.
