Mubasher: Qatar’s holdings of US debt instruments witnessed a 0.07% month-on-month growth in August.
The gas-rich nation's long-term holdings amounted to $1.338 billion in August, up from $1.337 billion a month earlier, the US Treasury Department said.
Saudi holdings of US government bonds hit $169.5 billion by the end of August, while the UAE and Kuwait came the second and third among Arab peers, after raising their holdings to $59 billion and $43.6 billion, respectively.
Globally, China was the top holder of US Treasuries with $1.16 trillion, followed by Japan with $1.029 trillion.
