Mubasher: The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) has called upon members not to mention oil prices when discussing production policy.

Officials are advised not to mention prices in order to avoid the risk of a legal action in the United States for manipulating the market, Reuters reported on Wednesday.

An old proposed law known as “NOPEC” could lead to anti-trust lawsuits, although previous president objected to ratifying the legislation, Donald Trump, who has been very critical of OPEC in recent months, is highly expected to not to veto NOPEC.
