Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Thursday’s trading session in a negative territory, pressured by the fall of six sectors.
By 09:55 am Qatar time, the general index declined 0.29% to 10,128,61 points, shedding 28.87 points.
Turnover amounted to QAR 25.1 million after 859,900 shares were traded through 602 transactions.
The industrial sector topped the QSE’s losers falling 0.71% as Qatar National Cement plunged 2.64%, while the banking sector levelled down 0.22%, dragged by the heavyweight Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) 0.54% fall.
Meanwhile, the goods and services sector was the bourse’s only gainer adding 0.43% as Mannai Corporation jumped 2.51%.
Doha Bank’s stock, which rose 1.5%, led the QSE in terms of trading volume with 314,030 shares, generating QAR 6.9 million in turnover.
