Mubasher: Medicare Group on Sunday announced that it has officially opened Al Ahli Center for Health Nutrition (Hemya).

Opening the new centre comes along with the company’s plans for expansion and diversifying its healthcare projects, according to the group’s filing to the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE).

“The centre provides dietary consultations and meals for different cases, as it provides meals and nutritional recipes carefully selected by the Nutritionists with the aim of reducing extra body weight by attaining full benefits from highly nutritious fresh food ingredients,” Khalid Al-Emadi, deputy CEO of Hemya, said.

On the other hand, Medicare Group announced that its branch Al Ahli Hospital has been awarded the accreditation certificate from Australian Council on Healthcare Standards International (ACHSI), for the third time in a row, for a further four years.

It is worth noting that Medicare Group’s profits hiked 104.9% to QAR 7.5 million for the third quarter of 2018, compared to QAR 3.66 million in Q3-17.

By the end of Thursday’s session, Medicare Group’s stock rose 0.77% at QAR 64.13.
