Banks boost QSE early Monday
The banking sector topped the QSE’s risers adding 0.42%

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Monday’s trading session in green territory, encouraged by the growth of sectors.

By 10:00 am Qatar time, the general index rose 0.40% to 10,194.91 points, adding 40.97 points.

The bourse’s turnover amounted to QAR 32.1 million after 1.8 million shares were traded through 716 transactions.

The banking sector topped the QSE’s risers adding 0.42% as the Commercial Bank of Qatar grew 1.22%, while the industrial sector inched up 0.20% due to Qatar National Cement’s 1.72% increase.

On the negative side, the goods and services sector headed the bourse’s losers falling 0.38% due to Widam Food’s 0.99% drop.

Qatar Navigation’s (Milaha) stock, which advanced 0.83%, led the QSE in terms of liquidity with QAR 7.4 million, while Mazaya Qatar Real Estate’s stock, which levelled up 0.63%, spearheaded the market in terms of trading volume with 6.6 million shares.
