Dubai – Mubasher: Nakheel Properties on Monday announced starting prior-building works at its AED713 million ($194 million) upcoming residential project in the Dubai-based Dragon city.

The project is slated to include two 37-storey buildings, each comprises 571 one- and two-bedroom apartments, the developer said in a statement.

Located on the Al Awir Road, the units of the twin residential buildings shall get an accessto nearby Dragon Mart shopping mall, which consists of a retail space, four parking levels and a clubhouse along with several other amenities.

Commenting on launching the ground-breaking work, Nakheel’s chairman Ali Rashid Lootah said that the project is part of the company’s plans to further fuel its expansion in the hospitability, retail and residential sector at Dragon City.

He further added that Ali Mousa & Sons Contracting has been awarded AED 552 million contract to manage and execute construction works of the Nakheel’s residential towers.

Building works are set for completion in 2021, the UAE-based master developer noted.
