TASI falls, Nomu jumps 80 pts at Monday’s close
The banking sector added1.85%

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) finished Monday with a negative performance after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) retreated 11.57 points, or 0.15%, to 7,648.64 points.

TASI’s trading volume stood at 211.14 million shares, up from 188.75 million on Sunday, while liquidity rose to SAR 5.7 billion ($1.52 billion), from SAR 4.76 billion ($1.27 billion).

The transportation, energy, and materials sectors levelled down 4.07%, 3.56%, and 1.7%, respectively.

On the other hand, the banking sector added1.85%, while the telecommunication services sector inched up 0.54%.

Saudi Indian Company for Cooperative Insurance’s (Wafa Insurance) stock was the worst performer after falling 10%, while Saudi Ceramic Company’s stock declined 9.05%.

On the other hand, Saudi Industrial Export Company’s (SIEC) was the best performer with 9.88%, followed by Samba Financial Group’s stock with 6.45%.

Saudi Kayan Petrochemical Company’s stock, down 5.6%, was the most active in terms of traded volume after 38.1 million shares were exchanged, while Al Rajhi Bank’s stock topped in terms of trading value after generating SAR 988.6 million.

In the meantime, the main index of the Nomu secondary market, surged 80.91 points, or 3.5%, to finish at 2,394.17 points.

Thob Al-Aseel Company’s stock topped Nomu’s gainers with 6.91%, while the stocks of Al-Samaani Factory for Metal Industries and Raydan Co went down 8.14% and 2.41%, respectively.
