QSE opens Tuesday in decline
The benchmark index dropped 13 points, or 0.13%, to 10,261.45 points.

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Tuesday's trading session in red territory, pressured by the drop of five sectors.  

The benchmark index dropped 13 points, or 0.13%, to 10,261.45 points.

By 10:05 am Qatar time, the bourse’s trading volume reached 1.3 million shares exchanged through 631 transactions at a turnover of QAR 23.6 million.

The real estate sector topped fallers dipping 0.77% after the stocks of Mazaya Qatar Real Estate and United Development Company (UDC) levelled down 0.25% and 0.07%, respectively.

The banking sector inched down 0.08%, as six banks dropped topped by Al Khalij Commercial Bank (Al khaliji) which fell 0.99%.

On the positive side, the transportation sector added 1.46% as Qatar Gas Transport’s (Nakilat) stock rose 2.92%.

The consumer goods and services sector grew 0.21% after Al Salam's stock advanced by 2%.

Nakilat’s stock topped the QSE in terms of volume and value after 484,09 stocks were exchanged, generating a turnover of QAR 8.8 million.
