Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Ministry of Housing will open six universities in New Alamein city in September 2019,  the housing minister's assistant said on Tuesday.

Egypt has offered 2 million metre land plots in the city for the industrial investment, Khaled Abbas added on the sidelines of a meeting organised by Invest Gate on the development of tourism real estate.

Construction work over around 500,000 metres of the lands will commence within the next two years, Abbas highlighted.

In August, the housing ministry announced that the first phase of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport branch in New Alamein city is set for operation in September 2019.​
