Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Tuesday’s trading session on a mixed note.

The benchmark EGX30 index shed 0.47%, finishing the session at 13,582.12 points.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index inched up 0.01% to 693.52 points, whereas the broader EGX100 index dipped 0.18% to 1,742.04 points.

The equal-weighted EGX50 index tumbled 0.76% to 2,106.96 points.

Trading volume amounted to nearly 191.4 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 747.8 million through 26,500 transactions.

Foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 54.9 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 31.5 million and EGP 23.4 million, respectively.

Market capitalisation closed the session at EGP 761.5 billion, losing EGP 4.2 billion.
