As part of the WOQOD’s ongoing expansion plans to be able to serve every area in Qatar, Qatar Fuel “WOQOD” opened Al Kharaitiyat  and Al Thumama-2 petrol stations on Wednesday, 24 October 2018, and by this raised its network of various petrol stations to 72. 

WOQOD’s CEO, Eng. Saad Rashid Al Muhannadi, said: We are pleased to open two new fixed petrol stations in Al Kharaitiyat and AL Thumama. WOQOD aspires to expand its petrol station network in the country to meet the rising demand for petroleum products and achieve the goal of providing customers with access to best-in-class products and services at their convenience and comfort. 

WOQOD has recently accelerated the process for the construction of new petrol station and will announce the opening of new petrol stations during this month to meet the fuel and energy needs of the country. WOQOD team would like to extend their gratitude to the all concerned governmental and private entities that contributed / are contributing to the completion of this project.”

Al Kharaitiyat is spread over an area of 11300 square meters and has 3 lanes with 9 dispensers that will serve Al Kharaitiyat and its neighborhood.

Al Thumama-2 is spread over an area of 7000 square meters and has 3 lanes with 9 dispensers that will serve Al Thumama and its neighborhood.

In addition, the number of dispensers was increased in order to enhance the quality of the service and reduce the vehicle congestion at the petrol stations.

Engineer Al Muhannadi indicated that the two new petrol stations offer round-the-clock services to residents, include Sidra convenience store, Manual Car wash, Oil change and tire repair, sale of LPG cylinders, in addition to sale of gasoline and diesel products for light vehicles.

Engineer Al Muhannadi further added that WOQOD is currently working in the construction of 25 petrol station projects, and a big number of these projects is expected to be operational this year. He explained that WOQOD has currently 7 new stations in the tendering phase and 16 stations in the design phase, assuring that next week will at least witness the opining of two new fixed petrol stations and more Mobile stations.

Engineer Al Muhannadi also pointed out that WOQOD, in furtherance of customer’s satisfaction opened One Mobile stations in Al Wakra for Gasoline.

Engineer Al Muhannadi concluded his announcement by saying that “As part of its strategic expansion plan, WOQOD is targeting the achievement of a total of 120 fuel stations by the end of 2020”.
