Sahara Petrochemical Company announces that the plant of its subsidiary, Al Waha Petrochemical Company, on Friday, Rabi Al-Awwal 01, 1440H (corresponding to 09 November 2018) experienced a technical defect in the cold box unit. The company's management has evaluated the condition of the plant and, as the company is already prepared for the comprehensive turnaround maintenance scheduled for the first quarter of 2019, the management of the company has decided to carry out the comprehensive periodic maintenance early during this current period. This will allow an increase in the quality of the plant and to insure the continuity of the operations during 2019. The repair and turnaround maintenance work is expected to be completed in no more than thirty days. This means that we will lose the opportunity of approximately SR 42 million according to current polypropylene prices, which will be reflected in the fourth quarter results. During this period, customers will be supplied from the reserve stock in the warehouses. An announcement shall be made in the event of any developments in this regard.
