QSE ends Monday in green
The goods and services sector topped the QSE’s gainers adding 1.31%

Mubasher: The Qatar stock exchange (QSE) closed Monday’s trading on a positive note, supported by the growth of three sectors, amid high liquidity.

The general index rose  24.99 points, or 0.24%, to finish at 10,415 points.

The bourse’s liquidity increased to QAR 217.2 million on Monday from QAR 108.2 million on Sunday, while the trading volume levelled up to 4.4 million shares against 2.9 million in the previous session.

The goods and services sector topped the QSE’s gainers adding 1.31% as Qatar Fuel (Woqod) grew 2.09%, while the banking sector went up 0.75% due to the heavyweight Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) 1.52% increase.

On the negative side, the real estate sector headed the bourse’s four decliners falling 1.06% on the back of Ezdan Holding Group’s 2.13% drop.

By the end of the session, Barwa Real Estate Development’s stock, which rose 0.51%, led the QSE in terms of trading volume with 568,300 shares, while Woqod’s stock led the market in terms of liquidity with QAR 57.2 million.
