Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) on Monday announced it has sold one-year euro-denominated treasury bills (T-bills) worth EUR 695.10 million.
The bank has sold the T-bills at an average yield of 1.75%, Reuters reported, citing the CBE.
Earlier this morning, the CBE said it issued 364-day euro-denominated T-bills valued at EUR 675 million.
Egypt aims to finance its budget deficit with EGP 511.2 billion during fiscal year 2018/2019.
The most populous Arab country also seeks to issue EGP 409.6 billion T-bills and EGP 101.6 billion bonds in FY18/19.
