Oil firms suspend work on Kuwait’s bad weather Wednesday
The public works minister of Kuwait Hussam Al Roumi has resigned on Friday

Mubasher: Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) has suspended its work operations at all of its companies on Wednesday on the back of the bad weather wave hitting the GCC nation in recent days, Reuters said.

Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), a subsidiary of the state-owned KPC, said in a statement that “KPC had suspended work at all its companies after the cabinet decided to suspend work in government institutions on Wednesday, including ministries and schools,” Reuters added.

Another subsidiary of KPC, Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC), has given its employees a day-off on Wednesday, except those whose jobs required them to be in their workplaces.

Reuters noted that the CEO of Mohammed Ghazi Al Mutairi said in a tweet that all fuel stations were working and "will not close, and there is no need to fill car tanks now."

It is noteworthy that the public works minister of Kuwait Hussam Al Roumi has resigned on Friday due to the extensive damage to public property after heavy rains and floods.
