Saudi indices end Wednesday in red
The capital goods sector fell 2.3%

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Wednesday with a negative performance after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) slumped 91.07 points, or 1.2%, to 7,659.88 points, recording its lowest level in 16 sessions, or since 23 October.

TASI’s trading volume stood at 151.8 million shares, up from 141.69 million on Wednesday, while the main market’s liquidity increased to SAR 3.58 billion, from SAR 3.08 billion.

The capital goods sector fell 2.3%, followed by the materials sector with 1.6%, banks with 1.2%, and telecommunication services with 0.4%.

On the other hand, the consumer durables and apparel sector increased 2.7%, followed by healthcare equipment and services, media sectors with 0.3% and  0.02%, respectively. 

The Saudi Industrial Export Company’s (SIEC) stock was the worst performer with 9.9%, whereas Fawaz Abdulaziz AlHokair Co.’s stock was the best performer after jumping 10%.

Saudi Basic Industries Corporation’s (SABIC) stock led in terms of trading value after generating SAR 666.97 million, while the stock of Alinma Bank topped in terms of traded volume after 19.35 million shares were exchanged.

In the meantime, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu secondary market retreated 11.11 points, or 0.45%, to 2,432.80 points.

Nomu’s trading volume reached 14,590 shares, down from 146,390 in the previous session, while its turnover decreased to SAR 251,270, from SAR 2.53 million.

The stocks of Baazeem Trading Co, Thob Al-Aseel Company, and Raydan Co levelled down 0.15%, 0.12%, and 0.08%, respectively.

Raydan Co’s stock acquired Nomu’s activities after 5,310 shares were exchanged, with a turnover of SAR 63,990.
