Mubasher: Henkel on Thursday posted a 1.1% year-on-year sales growth in the third quarter of 2018, driven by strong performance in its adhesives technologies business, while its operating profit jumped 11.1%.

The chemical and consumer goods company’s sales came in at EUR 5.04 billion ($5.69 billion) in Q3-18, compared with EUR 4.98 billion in Q3-17.

Sales in the adhesives technologies division rose 3.8% on an organic basis, generating EUR 2.4 billion during the third quarter ended September. 

Moreover, the German company’s earnings before interest and taxes were EUR 833 million in the period between July and September, compared with EUR 750 million in the same period last year.

Furthermore, Henkel confirmed its full-year guidance, expecting an organic sales growth at a range between 2% and 4%.

The company expected the sales in its adhesive technologies unit to grow at a range between 4% and 5%.
