Mubasher: The state-owned Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) has signed a three-year contract to obtain drilling rigs at a value of $1.3 billion, a recent report stated.
The number of drilling rigs which will be given to KOC will reach 86, CEO Jamal Jaafar, according to Al-Anba newspaper.
The deal may be extended for two years based on KOC’s approval, Jaafar added, noting that his firm owns 30 rigs currently.
The nations which will provide the drillings rigs for the Kuwaiti oil company are China, Italy, and the US.
