Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) finished Tuesday in the red after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) tumbled 11.67 points, or 0.15%, to 7,905.12 points.
By the end of the mid-week session, TASI’s trading volume reached 165.96 million shares, up from 159.25 million shares on Monday, while liquidity fell to SAR 4.2 billion ($1.12 billion), against SAR 4.4 billion ($1.17 billion).
The healthcare equipment and services sector led losers with 0.73%, followed by the real estate management and development sector with 0.66%.
The telecommunication services, banking, and materials sectors declined 0.61%, 0.46%, and 0.17%, respectively.
On the other hand, the food and staples retailing sector rose 2.58%, while the insurance sector went up 2.51%.
Al Alamiya for Cooperative Insurance Company’s stock was the worst performer after losing 2.45%, while Bupa Arabia for Cooperative Insurance’s stock topped gainers with 7.61%.
Alinma Bank’s stock, which dipped 0.72%, led the main market's volume and value after 33.8 million shares were exchanged with a turnover of SAR 749.6 million.
In the meantime, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, fell slightly 1.62 points, or 0.07%, to close at 2,420.03 points.
Abdullah Saad Mohamed Abo Moati for Bookstores Company’s stock edged down 0.94%.
