Mubasher: The Qatar Exchange (QE) ended the week on a positive note, recorded its third consecutive weekly gains supported by a strong performance of all market sectors.
The general index increased by 2.26% or 233.86 points and closed the week at the level of 10,598.40 points.
Market capitalization reached QAR 595.35 billion, rising by 1.18%.
The telecom sector added 3.43%, followed by industrials and real estate with 2.24%, and 2.18%, respectively.
As for the market stocks performance, 34 stocks ended the week in the green zone, while nine made losses.
On the other hand, traded values declined by nearly 40% to QAR 1.25 billion.
Traded volumes also shrunk by 32.14% to 42.89 million shares, down from 63.12 million shares, as the number of transactions decreased by 27.11% to around 24,780 transactions.
The Qatari bourse announced earlier today that trading on the shares of Qatar Aluminums Manufacturing Company (QAMCO) will begin on Sunday 16 December.
