Blue chips weigh down ADX at Monday’s close
The energy sector plunged 4.05%

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Monday’s trading session on a low note, pressured by the fall of energy, real estate, and banks sectors.

The general index shed 47.15 points, or 0.97%, to finish at 4,789.30 points.

The ADX’s trading volume reached 60.22 million shares exchanged through 1,977 deals at a turnover of AED 146.719 million.

The energy sector plunged 4.05% as Dana Gas fell 7.53%, followed by the drop of the real estate sector with 2.95% after Eshraq Properties dipped 1.20%.

Similarly, the banks sector decreased by 1.11% as Abu Dhabi First Bank, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank went down 0.86% and 2.58%, respectively.
