Boursa Kuwait closes Tuesday in green
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover increased by 13.8% to KWD 19.86 million on Tuesday

Mubasher: The All-Share Market closed Tuesday’s trading session 0.15% or 7.9 points higher to 5,171.31 points.

Similarly, the Premier and Main markets went up 0.09% and 0.27%, respectively.

The rise on Tuesday is expected to be a beginning of an upward performance during the coming period and until the date of promoting Boursa Kuwait in FTSE emerging markets index, capital market analyst Ali Al Salamy told Mubasher.

The All-Share index exceeded a key resistance at 5,170 points which opens a rising path that may lead to 5,200 points in the short term, the analyst added. The consumer services segment topped six gainers with 1.07%, while the consumer goods sector led four decliners with 1.8%.

Bayan Investment was the top winner with 7.7%, while Al Massaleh led the losers with 7.6%.

Boursa Kuwait’s turnover increased by 13.8% to KWD 19.86 million on Tuesday compared to KWD 17.46 million in the prior session after the trading volume decreased by 18% to KWD 84.41 million shares from 102.94 million.

The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) posted the highest trading value of KWD 3.91 million, the stock went down 0.24%.

PetroGulf was the most active stock on which 10.6 million shares were exchanged, the stock added 1.04%.
